Can you ride from Canberra to Melbourne on a 250cc?

We first introduce the CF250T–5 to you in October with an announcement that someone had a bright idea to ride this from Canberra to Melbourne (and back again)?

There are quite a few who say yes, and more willing to do the ride!

Work on the machine is underway and the trip to Melbourne is being planned for early 2025.

With a couple of hours to spare on Wednesday, one of our amazing volunteers, Shane, got to work, starting with removing plastics, followed by draining the fluids, and charging the battery. All seemed to be going smoothly and with a clean filter, fresh oil, and coolant and a power source the time came to turn the key and press the ignition switch. There was at one point a glimmer of hope, but then silence — deafening silence. Why wont it start? After testing current, It was time to put the work aside until there’s another spare moment.
